    Short version: We do not collect any personally identifiable information. No accounts, no tracking cookies, no analytics. Your question counter lives in your own browser — it never leaves your device.
  

1. Who we are

helpp.site is a specialist AI assistant service. For privacy enquiries, contact us at hello@helpp.site.

2. What data we collect

Browser storage (local to your device)

We store small items in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

None of these values identify you as an individual. The question counter and session ID are anonymous numbers; the session ID is not linked to any account or identity.

Server access logs

Our web server (hosted in the EU) records standard nginx access logs. These logs contain:

IP address of the request
Date and time of the request
URL path requested
Browser user-agent string
HTTP status code

These logs are used solely for security monitoring and are retained for a maximum of 30 days before deletion. They are not shared with third parties.

Questions you ask

The text of questions you submit is sent to our API to retrieve an answer. Questions pass through our server and are forwarded to Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini embeddings) to generate responses. We do not store question text in a database. Anthropic and Google's own data retention policies apply to API calls — see their respective privacy policies for details.

3. Cookies

We do not place any cookies on your device. The items described above use browser local storage, which is functionally similar but distinct from cookies and is used solely to support the service's core functionality.

4. Third-party services

Anthropic (Claude) — AI language model for generating answers. Privacy policy

We do not use any advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics platforms.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the following rights:

Right of access — you can ask what data we hold about you. Given that we hold no personally identifiable data, there is nothing to provide beyond what is described in this policy.
Right to erasure — to remove browser storage data, clear your browser's local storage for helpp.site and its sub-domains. For server log data (IP addresses), contact us at hello@helpp.site.
Right to object — contact us at hello@helpp.site.

6. Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend checking back occasionally.
